TED talk by Kelly McGonigal – How to make stress your friend

Why should we watch it?

… because health psychologist Kelly McGonical tells us that stress isn’t necessarily the enemy. Having a negative mindset on stress however, is the enemy. Kelly shows us that research has shown that the belief of stress being bad for you will have a more negative impact on your body than when you don’t believe stress is bad for you. Your belief will change your body’s response to stress. She shows us many new insights which prove once and again how body & mind are connected. The best part of this talk we will be working on? Is to keep on caring for others, because according to Kelly the harmful effects of stress are minimal when social support is part of your life.
